Challenge

Our main goal was to achieve a realistic representation of a Hardie Panel Siding and Aluminum Glass Store Front renovation in the entrance of multiple buildings.

Strategy

We focused on capturing all the details of the building by creating a 3D model from measurements extracted from Google Street View. The 3D model was elaborated precisely on Autodesk 3ds Max.

Approach

We decided to use V-ray as it is state-of-the-art software for material representation and high-definition rendering. Our architect worked with the client to select the specs of the exact material to provide the most realistic results.

Google Street View Measurements

Google Street View is our old friend when it comes to obtaining information to elaborate on a 3D model. We managed to measure most of the lengths, heights, doors, and windows and proceeded to create a realistic 3D model in Autodesk 3ds Max.

Autodesk 3ds Max (3D Modeling)

Autodesk 3ds Max is a state-of-the-art software when it comes to precise 3D modeling. Our architect created a realistic 3D model taking into account details such as opening sizes, roof shape, door and window finishes, and gutters.

Material Specs & Color

Our client provided us the job scope of work and material specifications. Nevertheless, we research the material properties, textures, and colors to show how the Hardie Panel Siding would look under outdoor lighting conditions.

V-Ray (3D Rendering)

Our architect added realistic textures to simulate the building Hardie Panel Siding and storefront windows and Sherwin William color code for paint in V-ray. The final output was three high definition 2K renders that close this renovation deal for our customer..
